Northrop Grumman Armament Systems Division (ASD) is seeking Systems Engineering Interns to work at its Plymouth, Minnesota location starting in January of 2022. This is a part-time internship with the opportunity to support as a full-time intern in Summer 2022E.

This position will support the entire Northrop Grumman portfolio, including: Integrated systems, Precision & Guided Projectiles, Miniature Strike Munitions, Medium Caliber Ammunition, and Large Caliber Ammunition. The Systems Engineering Intern will support and perform requirement analysis, system design, system effectiveness analyses, and technical reviews as an individual contributor on project teams designing weapon systems and systems of systems applications.

Basic Qualifications

A candidate, regardless of age and hiring source, must meet ALL of the below criteria. The candidate must:

•Be enrolled full-time and pursuing their graduate degree from an accredited college/university AND graduating after August 2022

•Have a bachelors degree in Engineering or Physics

•Currently pursing their graduate (Masters or Doctorate) degree in Systems Engineering with a focus on Model Based Systems Engineering, Complexity Science, Systems of Systems

• Have an overall cumulative GPA of 3.0 out of 4.0 or higher (unofficial academic transcripts must be provided at time of application by uploading the documents to your application or profile)

•Be available to work part-time (20 hours per week) during the winter 2022, and full-time during Summer 2022

•Be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government security clearance (U.S. citizenship is a pre-requisite)

Preferred Qualifications

•3.7 cumulative GPA or higher

• Experience in defense and/or aerospace industry

•Experience with Teamcenter Systems Engineering and/or DOORS

•Experience with Cameo System Modeler

•Engagement in 1-2 professional engineering organizations

At Northrop Grumman, our internship pay rates are standardized and take into account three main factors: the anticipated graduation date of the individual, the cost of labor of the geographic location, and whether the internship is considered technical or administrative.

The pay ranges for this specific opportunity are as follows:

Undergraduate degrees (Including graduating students planning on attending/enrolled in a full-time Master's program): $22.75 - $28.25
Masters degrees: $33.50 - 35.75

PhD: $37.45 - $56.20
