Prison Nurse - Staff Nurse - RGN - Peterborough - Permanent - up to GBP35051
I am looking for a RGN/Staff Nurse to join a Prison in Peterborough
Your mail role is to administer medication, run the clinic and attend emergencies
As well as the primary care nurses there is a team of addictions specialists to work with prisoners who have previously been drug users.
The role:
Nurses support the general Healthcare provision within the prison environment. You will be joining a unique, exciting but challenging environment, where you will have a range of nursing duties, from health promotion to first response emergency care and will be central to the continued successful operation of the site.
You will be expected to encourage patients to look after their health needs and become active with promotion. On a daily basis medication is dispensed in a safe and timely manner, this includes an awareness of controlled medication within a secure environment.
I am looking for a nurse who can run a variety of nurse led clinics such as chronic disease management, health screening programmes, wound care, immunisations, venepuncture and the ability to work closely with other agencies.
It is essential that you:
* are an RGN - Registered General Nurse
* Have previous experience and the ability to work in a fast paced environment doing varied nursing duties
* Have experience as a Band 5 equivalent nurse
Training will be given to those Nurses who have not got previous Prison experience
