Youth Support Worker
For this Youth Support Worker, you will be required to assist in a small class of 7 students aged between 14-16 years old, who have been removed from a mainstream school due to their extreme challenging behaviour. You will be assisting these students in and out of the classroom and sometimes may be required to work with some students on a 1:1 basis. The ideal Youth Support Worker for this role must have previous experience dealing with extreme challenging behaviour and be physical restraint trained.
Pupil Referral Unit
This Pupil Referral Unit is found in the London borough of Islington and caters for students aged between 7-18 years that have been removed from a mainstream school due to their behaviour. They currently have 117 students on role and their main goal is to improve their students attendance and attitude to their education. In their last Ofsted in 2019, they were reviewed as 'good' in all areas.
