As a result of my client's expansion plans, and their continued ongoing success we are seeking a dynamic Social Media Assistant to be based at their Head Office in Plymouth.

We are looking for a highly organised and proactive person, able to work against tight deadlines with outstanding prioritisation skills. The right candidate will keep multiple social media channels updated whilst remaining brand-focused and seek out new social media avenues and ways of connecting with audiences and increasing company turnover. Key Duties and responsibilities include:

  • Manage company social media channels, including Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and other relevant platforms
  • Create engaging and dynamic written, graphic and video content.
  • Engage in social media presence creation on new and emerging social media platforms.
  • Optimizes content following search engine optimization (SEO).
  • Creates content that promotes audience interaction, increases audience presence on company sites and encourages audience participation.
  • Assists social media team with large projects.
  • Works as part of a team to develop large social media campaigns.
  • Monitor competitor activity.
  • Proposes new ideas and concepts for social media content.
  • Be knowledgeable in social media trends and integrate these into the company.
  • Use analytics tools to gauge the success of campaigns.
  • Prepare reports on campaigns based on analytics.
  • Develop strategies for growing sales & increasing awareness.
  • Work cohesively with in-house teams to ensure targets are met.

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Excellent knowledge of social media platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, YouTube and TikTok.
  • Confident computer skills.
  • Transferable creative flair.
  • Analytical skills.
  • Clear and concise communication skills.
  • Ability to work well under pressure.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Eagerness to learn about new innovations and software.
  • Excellent time management skills.
  • Design experience or skills on Adobe / Corel / Photoshop desirable but not essential.
  • Knowledge of google analytics desirable
  • Knowledge of paid advertisements desirable.
