We are currently recruiting a Legal Assistant to join our growing Development team in Manchester.

Main Responsibilities

As a Legal Assistant your day to day remit includes:

  • Draft residential contracts and residential plot leases;
  • Issue plot sale packs;
  • Deal with enquiries on each site including title, searches and development enquiries;
  • Provide client with updates throughout
  • Engross documents;
  • Draft completion statements and TA13 forms;
  • Liaise with seller's lender for redemption funds and letters of consent/DS1's;
  • Update plots tracker; and
  • Provide more generalised secretarial-type admin support for the Manchester Development Team (working alongside the team's existing, Bristol-based, secretarial resource), to include:-
  1. Document management and handling correspondence;
  2. Scanning, filing, file-opening/closing;
  3. Processing invoices to clients and dealing with straightforward client queries;
  4. Assembling electronic and hard-copy engrossments;
  5. Deeds scheduling;
  6. Uploading documents to (and downloading documents from) extranets.
The Ideal Candidate

  • Previous legal assistant experience,
  • Previous Real Estate/Plot Sales/Conveyancing experience is desirable.
  • Excellent communication skills (both oral and written).
  • Accuracy, good organisational skills and flexibility.
  • Ability to work well as part of a busy team.
  • Good knowledge of Word and Outlook is required and experience in Excel, PowerPoint and iManage would be beneficial.?
