Senior Graphic Designer, Hull. Salary circa GBP32,000 - GBP38,000 dependent upon experience, plus excellent benefits including pension, 30 days holiday (plus option to purchase additional days), staff discount at Heron Foods and B&M.

The role:

We have an exciting new role for an experienced, passionate graphic designer to join an ever-expanding marketing team supporting key in-store events and marketing campaigns both online and in-store. This is a rare opportunity to create your own in-house design team.

Working in an extremely fast-paced and reactive environment, you must be able to work on multiple projects simultaneously. Attention to detail and the ability to work to very tight deadlines is key.

Once onboard your first tasks will be to select the software to be used within your team and to be involved in recruitment of your Junior Designer. You will then be taking and developing creative ideas from concept through to completion and will be responsible for working across all communications; developing innovative campaigns and conceptual, creative brand vision. You will also be responsible for the following:

Design of impactful POS and print marketing from the initial ideas through to design, artwork and final delivery.
Working closely with the marketing team and other departments to create designs for both internal and external communications
Creating and implementing digital advertising campaigns for our social media, web and email
Collaborate and communicate with other departments when necessary
Continue to move forward and develop the Heron Foods brandWhat we are looking for:

We are looking for an experienced Senior Graphic Designer who is skilled at managing and steering projects, leading and mentoring to achieve creative brand vision. You will also ideally have the following:

At least 5 years of experience working as a Graphic Designer with an evidenced portfolio
Experience of managing and mentoring junior designers
Excellent knowledge of all industry standard software including Illustrator, InDesign and Photoshop.
Knowledge of the print process and preparing print-ready artwork
Experience of working within a deadline driven environment
Experience in digital design
A passion for design and awareness of trends and the latest creative developments
Ability to communicate and present ideas to all levels of the business
A keen eye for detail and quality.
Experience of working with consumer facing material, preferably within a retail environment
Ability to prioritise workload to ensure deadlines are met.
