IT Infrastructure Engineer

Exciting new opportunity for an Infrastructure Engineer in Bedfordshire with an exciting

We current have a great opportunity for an experienced IT Infrastructure Engineer to join a busy and growing IT team in which you will be working alongside a team of established Infrastructure Engineers and reporting directly into the Team Lead.

You will be responsible for managing the organisations Infrastructure to ensure it meets the standards and performance levels required by users and the business which includes the network, Servers, data centre and storage. In this role you will be handling and resolving a range of issues from across the IT Infrastructure and troubleshooting incidents across numerous technologies involved in the organisations infrastructure. You can expect to be interacting and assisting with numerous projects involving IT from around the business as well as supporting the security team to provide fixes and minimise the risk of security breaches.

Key Skills and Experience:

• At least 2 years experience in a similar role providing top level technical support
• Experience with numerous technologies including; Active Directory, Group Policy, Virtual Server environments, SQL Administration, Networking, Skype Telephony
• Good attention to detail with the ability to spot issues and fixes quickly
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to explain technical jargon effectively
• The ability to work on call once every 5-6 weeks
• Strong problem-solving and decision making skills sometimes in a time-sensitive situation
