Cornwall Trade & Investment (CTI)
The Cornwall Trade & Investment (CTI) project has three main objectives: helping businesses from elsewhere in the UK and abroad to get established in Cornwall, encouraging Cornwall businesses to export their goods and services outside the region, and increasing the number of jobs in Cornwall through our support to businesses.
The Role
We're looking for a confident and business minded Trade & Investment Manager to join our team. This is a fantastic opportunity to become part of an ambitious project promoting Cornwall as the place to do business.
The Trade & Investment Manager plays a vital part in achieving these objectives, acting as the key point of contact with the businesses and providing excellent client management services.
As Trade & Investment Manager, you'll promote Cornwall and IoS as a business destination of choice to potential SME inward investors and foreign direct investors wishing to exploit UK, European and international markets. You will demonstrate a deep understanding of business growth, development and expansion enablers across UK and international markets, particularly within digital and advanced manufacturing and engineering industries.
Responsible for generating high-quality, intelligence-based business leads, you'll define target companies and design bespoke engagement strategies.
Building strong relationships is an important part of this role, whether with potential or existing investors, Cornwall business ambassadors, or other support providers. We're looking for someone that can proactively respond to leads, take responsibility for customer and account management, and deliver against targets defined in the ERDF support service, leading to businesses successfully locating in the region.
Our Trade & Investment Manager will support Cornwall businesses in the development of export markets through an active trade delegation programme allied to Cornwall Trade & Investment (CTI) national and international events programme.
Closing date: 9am Thursday 28th October 2021.
