DEPUTY CHEF MANAGER
Full-time, term-time only (39 weeks per year)
Hours: 5.30am to 3.00pm, Monday to Friday
Salary: £22,865 to £25,750 per annum

The College is seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and hardworking Deputy Chef Manager to work in the College’s Refectory. The successful applicant will be required to support the Chef Manager in providing up to 2500 students and 250 staff with a first class, high quality, in-house catering service.

The post is available from 11 October 2021 on a permanent basis. The normal working hours are from 5.30am to 3.00pm, Monday to Friday, term-time only (39 weeks per year). Although the post is for 39 weeks per year, the salary will be divided into 12 monthly payments. There will be some private functions during the evening and weekends.

As Deputy Chef Manager, you will offer leadership, excellent people management skills and be a hands-on operator who can assist in managing the staff. You will display sound kitchen management, including a high degree of health and safety awareness. You will need to have suitable experience of managing a kitchen as a profit-making enterprise. You must be able to assist the Chef Manager in working within a budget, designing and costing menus, and understand cash handling, stock control and administration.

You will spend a significant amount of the working day in a busy environment and will be required to regularly interact with students.
