This role is advertised by Red Recruitment 24:7 who are acting as the recruiting agency for our Gainsborough based client. They require an administrative assistant to work in a school based environment on a temporary basis.
Main Duties
* To provide administrative support to the school Leadership Team.; e.g. telephone messages, managing diaries and emails, attending meetings as required and taking Minutes, general filing, etc.
* To provide typing, filing and clerical work as may be authorised to meet the needs of the school.
* To give administrative support to Heads of House as required.
* To support the Office and Admissions Manager with the administration and maintenance of the school locker system.
* To provide administrative support in the process of updating School policies/reviews; working with the policy owners, Leadership Team and the Clerk to Governors.
* To provide cover in Reception as and when required. This may involve working extra hours from time to time.
* To answer incoming telephone calls to the school. To take messages/run errands/answer queries as the need arises.
* To be responsible for producing the Year 11 leavers presentation.
* To be responsible for the organisation of school events such as Parents' Evenings, Easter Study School, Christmas Carol Concert and Year 9 Options.
* To maintain records and supply of student medication and first-aid equipment held in school.
* To ensure that the medical room is fit for purpose; e.g. that stock is maintained and replaced as required
* To keep accurate records of first-aiders in school and liaise with the Finance team to book training as required.
* To provide assistance to students with medical issues and administer first aid (training will be provided as required).
* To assist in the organisation of Presentation Evenings and Open Evening.
* To be responsible for producing the Student Planner; e.g. communicating with staff regarding updates and liaising with printers on printing and delivery.
* To support the general work of the main school office.
* The postholder is expected to be flexible in undertaking duties and responsibilities attached to their post and may be asked to perform other duties, which reasonably correspond to the general character of the post and are commensurate with its level of responsibility.

The postholder is required to take personal responsibility for contributing to organisational transformation and changes in ways of working, maximising the benefits and efficiencies for both internal and external customers, including the promotion and use of self-service to achieve maximum cost effectiveness.
The postholder is expected to work to our client's values and behaviours and to carry out the duties in accordance with their policies.
