Technique Recruitment Solutions are a specialist Engineering recruitment company based in Norwich. We are working on behalf of a global engineering manufacturer based near Lowestoft who have a new opportunity for a Production Support Engineer to join their team.
The main purpose of the role is to prepare and execute all shipping documentation for UK and export shipping and to construct and issue the technical manuals to send to their customers.
Purpose of Role:
To work as part of a team to support all project functions, assuring customer expectation is achieved or exceeded, throughout the project life cycle, up to and including Site Acceptance Test.
Key Responsibilities:
* Prepare and issue ALL machine technical manuals
* Prepare and issue ALL machine setting sheets for Assembly and Test.
* Prepare final risk assessment for machinery
* Prepare machine inspection envelops for Assembly
* Prepare and arrange ALL aspects of machinery dispatch to customer site both UK and Worldwide. (sea/land and air)
* Prepare and produce shipping related documents (QAR27, delivery notes, certificates of Origin, commercial invoices, packing lists, insurance certs, and CMR etc etc )
* Review and arrange the sizes of cases, grates, pallets, lorries, containers to be used for transport of machinery and prepare requisitions for Purchase orders to be raised in a timely manner.
* Prepare and issue CE certificates for machinery.
* Check the machinery is ready for dispatch (pre-QAR check list) to be completed.
* Measure and weigh machinery as required to complete packing lists.
* Prepare and apply all necessary labels or special lifting/handling instructions before dispatch.
* Liaise with crates / case suppliers and shipping companies to get best price to suit the required dispatch dates for each project.
* Arrange for suitable disposal of excess test materials.
* Record and maintain registers for water usage, and solar panel records.
* Liaise with contractors on any special site work that may arise.
* Be available outside normal working hours to help supervise/ coordinate the loading of machinery.

Background / Experience:

Mechanical design / control engineering experience preferable but not essential
