Geo-Environmental Engineer - Bedfordshire
We're working with a well-established engineering and environmental consultancy based in Bedfordshire who are currently looking to recruit a Geo-Environmental / Geotechnical Engineer to join their growing Geo division.
They are looking for a Geo-Environmental Engineer with a minimum of 1 years' experience in managing and undertaking site investigations, writing professional reports and ideally with experience in hydrogeology, contamination testing and onsite testing.
The standard day to day work would include the following:
• Site Investigations - windowless sampling, trial pitting, contaminated land assessment, soakage testing, CBR's etc etc
• Reporting - Writing groundwater risk assessments, Flux modelling, Phase I and Phase II reports
• Quoting
• Project management and client liaison.
• Agricultural Land Classification Reports
Requirements:
• BSc degree level qualified in geology/geography or a related environmental subject essential
• MSc preferable, but not essential
• Be able to log soils to BS 5930+A2 technical standards
• Able to interpret geological/hydrogeological maps and published geological data
• Ability to follow instruction, be self-motivated, exhibit a proactive approach, work well within a team environment and be willing and flexible to work nationally.
• Excellent written and oral skills.
• Customer Care skills
• Full, clean UK driving licence essential
