Prospero Teaching work closely with an alternative provision based in Chapel-en-le-Frith who are looking for a Teaching Assistant to join their team ASAP.
As a Teaching Assistant you will play an important role in helping to create a stimulating, safe and structured environment for the pupils within the school. You will be working mainly outdoors supporting children when they are completing outdoor activities.
The Role:
Your responsibilities will include;
Supporting children within the classroom and with outdoor activities
Providing coaching and therapeutic activities
Working with children with SEMH and complex needs
Keeping progress reports
Implement planned interventions for both individuals and groups
To be considered for the role of Teaching Assistant you need;
An enthusiastic and attentive personality
Experience working with children in education or in a similar setting
Team Teach training (preferable but not essential)
Experience in education/ school environment (preferable but not essential)
Experience working with SEN childrenPlease be aware that all applicants will be subject to background checks and will need a current DBS certificate (update service registered).
Working hours are usually Monday to Friday, 8.30am-3.30pm approximately, but you may be offered additional duties and responsibilities outside of these hours
