Jacob Thomas Associates are recruiting for an exciting opportunity! We are working in partnership with a unique manufacturing facility to appoint an experienced HR Manager who will oversee two sites. The successful applicant will manage all HR functions within the Business Group from employee relations, recruitment, employee training and development through to policy management. The HR Professional will also assist with driving a Continuous Improvement culture.

The HR Manager Role;
* Manage all employment relations onsite and work closely with Departmental Managers to ensure best practice is rolled out across both facilities
* Ensure accurate records and HR legislation is all in line, ensuring fully aware of new movements and maintain/update policies
* Manage and oversee all recruitment for both sites, identifying requirements, carrying-out inductions and ensuring relevant legislations in place
* Conduct investigations, disciplinary actions, grievance and appeal hearings
* Assist with employee development by coordinating and developing training programmes for personnel onsite and working closely with Departmental Managers
* Carryout one to ones and performance reviews with employees
* Documenting and managing absence control
* Accountable for the Works Committee ensuring an open forum for matters concerning the factory, Plant, business and employees
* Instrumental in ensuring employee well being throughout both sites
* Attend regular management meetings, liaising with various Stakeholders and at times presenting
* Regular travel will be required as part of this role as the HR Manager needs to be accessible to both sites and their employees. This will involve 2 days at one site and 3 days at the other (depending on the successful applicants location).
* Support with achieving the business objectives to drive the business forward and continue their continuous improvement ethos.
Our Ideal HR Manager Candidate;
* CIPD qualified or equivalent
* Effective communication skills and ability to liaise at various levels
* Sound knowledge in employment relations
* A solution provider who is able to use own initiative and able to make decisions
* Practical approach as will be required to be visible on the shop-floor though to the offices
* A 'Can Do' approach with the ability to motivate and lead teams
* Previous experience of working in a similar role within a manufacturing or engineering environment would be advantageous however not essential
* Proficient in Microsoft packages
* Full UK Driving Licence will be required due to the nature of the role as will be travelling across both sites in Rutland and Staffordshire
