Support Technician with FLT-Air Conditioning

Support Technician - Responsible to support the overhaul all types of air ends, blowers and similar equipment as found in industrial and mobile air compressors. Workshop based; no outside work expected.

Reporting Relationships
The position reports to the Operations Manager of the business unit and close coordination with the Lead Technician.

Responsibilities
- Receipt, identification, inspection, evaluation and cleaning of incoming air ends,
- Organisation of incoming and outgoing production with forklift and lifting gear,
- Support dismantling, inspection and cleaning,
- Paint, palletise, load and despatch as required,
- Keeping workshop tidy and clean
- Additional responsibilities (subject to incumbent's skills), weld repair and fabrication, maintenance and repair of similar equipment.

Compensation & Benefits

- GBP23,675 - GBP26,076 per annum, depending on experience,
- Work week 37 ?? hours scheduled over 4 ?? days,

The Position Requirements - Support Technician

Experience and skill set
- The candidate must have a minimum of 3-5 years in an equipment service or machinery maintenance environment. Specific experience with air compressors, pumps or other rotating machinery would be beneficial.
- Good level of overall mechanical training and aptitude,
- Experience with basic workshop equipment,
- Good understanding of mechanical equipment and how it works,
- Experience working safely with heavy lifting and use of heat,
- Welding experience not specifically required but a plus,
- Ability to work and communicate well in a team environment, willingness to perform all workshop functions in support of customer and workshop requirements,
