Waste, Transport and Operations Manager

J & J Franks Ltd (Franks) has been established for over 80 years and is proud to be Surrey's largest independently owned Quarrying and Waste management company.

We are looking to recruit a Waste, Transport and Operations Manager to become an integral part of the continuing success of our waste management operations at our Betchworth site. This is a rare opportunity to join a financially stable, ambitious family business that has a track record of retaining and developing its people.

Your key responsibilities will include:

• Full responsibility for all operational activities within the site including recycling, waste management and the transport fleet
• Leading, developing and motivating the site team and monitoring performance
• Ensuring plant, equipment and tooling are kept in good working order
• Monthly reporting of KPI's
• Identify and lead process improvement projects
• Ensuring Health and Safety processes and procedures are followed

To be successful in the role of Waste, Transport and Operations Manager, the ideal candidate will have:

• Managerial experience within the waste management, haulage or construction industries
• Extensive knowledge of Health and Safety Requirements
• Preferably hold a CPC in National Road Haulage
• A logical and methodical approach with good analytical and practical skills
• Good interpersonal skills and a flexible approach to management
• Good commercial awareness.
