The role is for a Production Shift Manager to support a new site start-up, overseeing the developing of the manufacturing facility and processes. This is an opportunity to take a blank canvas and to shape and mould the future of the production processes. You will be passionate, driven and ideally have previously supported an FMCG start-up or site relocation.

The main responsibilities will include:

Accountability for the efficiency of lines within their shift, completing 2 hourly updates and reporting back to the Departmental Manager any poor performing lines with corrective actions.
Providing leadership for the shift operations in a highly automated state of the art production facility.
Carrying out a start of shift brief with all personnel, highlighting any issues from the previous day and any known actions/visits for the current day. This will include a review of the previous shifts performance using set criteria.
Maximising the performance of the operation by directing the daily, weekly and monthly activities.
Providing leadership, motivation, training and development of the workforce, executing against customer requirements, operational performance and the site a great place to work.
Successfully managing the team in line with company's operating systems and all other policies and procedures.
Acting in accordance with all Health and Safety regulations and to ensure that all staff allocated to your Shift also fully comply with all H&S regulations, ensuring all PPE is worn.
Conduct a daily H&S walk round actioning any non conformance's accordingly.Initially the role will work a standard working week, Monday to Friday. However it will become a rotational role with the requirement to work 6am-2pm/2pm-10pm.


Applicants should be:

Highly experienced within a fast paced food manufacturing facility.
Possessing new site set up experience (highly advantageous).
Effective communicators with a passion for motivating and developing a production team.
Flexible with working hours as this role will become a rotational role with the requirement to work 6am-2pm/2pm-10pm.
