The Just Recruitment Group Ltd are currently recruiting for Manufacturing Technicians for their client based in Gillingham, Kent.
RESPONSIBILITIES (Functional)
*To carry out engineering tasks using CNC and manually operated machines and hand tools.
*To use a variety of measuring equipment.
*To conduct front line maintenance and basic fault diagnosis within the limits of training on equipment used.
*Designing and manufacturing of fabricated components using Gas, MIG, TIG and Plasma cutting equipment
*Stripping, rebuilding and modifying prototype diesel engines
*Fitting various fuel injection equipment to engine, including, pumps, injectors, low pressure fuel systems and high pressure common rail systems.
SKILLS
Mandatory
*Ability to understand engineering drawings and specifications.
*Ability to understand GD&T (geometric dimensioning and tolerancing)
*Ability to utilise a variety of manufacturing and assembly techiques.
*Ability to use a variety of measuring techniques and types of equipment.
Desireable
*Familiar with use of CAD models/ Solid Works or similar.
*Good IT skills e.g Microsoft Office
*Ability to use and program CNC machining centres.
EDUCATIONAL/EXPERIENCE
Mandatory
*Apprenticeship or experience in an Engineering related discipline; Mechanical, software, electronics, etc.
*Educated to B Tec Level 3 / NVQ Level 3, HNC or other Engineering qualification
*A good understanding of engineering principles and manufacturing processes.
*Ability to work on your own initiative with minimum supervision
*A high degree of motivation to achieve company aims
*Excellent communication skills and the ability to communicate at all levels
Desireable
*GibbsCAM CAD/CAM software or similar PC-based computer-aided manufacturing (CAM) system for programming computer numerically controlled (CNC) machine tools.
*Experienced in the manufacture to high precision tolerances.
*Data collection to qualify products / components as part of a quality system.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Existing hours of work comprise a weekly total of 37 hours on a double day shift.
Early
Shift:06:00 - 14:00 hrs Mon to Thurs
06:00 - 13:30hrs Fri
Late
Shift:14:00 - 22:00 hrs Mon to Thurs
13:00 - 20:30hrs Fri
