One of the UK's leading manufacturers within the Material Handling and Construction industry are searching for an Engineer to join their consistently growing team. Due to an internal promotion they have a Workshop role available at one of their depots based in the Bedfordshire area. Role will consist of Earthmoving equipment.

The company are searching for Engineers with extensive experience with Hydraulics and Electrics, Gas and Diesel engines, and willingness to learn more as new products are released continuously. The ideal candidate will come from an agricultural working background, looking at Plant Fitters, FLT Engineers - but will consider Engineers with any of the skills mentioned.

Job Profile:

The candidate will be working in the Workshop based in the Bedfordshire area. They will be working on a range of heavy Plant equipment, ensuring that all maintenance and repairs are completed within specific time frames set by the Workshop Manager. Equipment is ranged with equipment such as small dumpers to large industrial cranes.

Responsibilities:

Carrying out routine pre delivery inspections (PDI) of new machines
Fittings of both factory approved and local supplied attachments to machines where required
Modifications of machines according to guidelines and specifications
Performing all forms of repair and servicing to machines
Contributes to the repair, overhaul and diagnosis of plant equipment
Development of an effective working relationship with the Workshop team
Maintaining a healthy and safe working environment for yourself and others with a clear understanding of workplace safety requirement and systems
Contribution towards the success of the apprenticeship programme by supporting and mentoring engineering apprentices
Works in accordance with the company quality assurance guidelines
Uses initiative and takes appropriate action to ensure good housekeeping standards are followed and maintained in the workshop areaCandidate requires the following:

NVQ Level 2/3 in relevant Engineering (Plant, Forklifts, Mechanical etc.)
Able to demonstrate previous experience in a similar role and/or industry
Team player
Good communicator at all levels
