Mayden are looking for a driven and enthusiastic UX Designer to join the team. You'll work alongside our existing UX designer to make sure that our software is intuitive and optimised for our end users.

Location: Oldfield Park, Bath

Salary: GBP25,080-GBP35,040 depending upon experience

Job Type: Full-Time Permanent, but Part-Time considered

About Us:

Mayden is a growing software company with a mission to change what's possible in healthcare. We produce healthcare apps, mainly for supporting the recovery of people with mental health issues. We love that the work we do makes a difference.

The company has a flat structure with self-managing teams and agile working at its heart. Our team members work together to share the responsibilities that managers would traditionally have. Nobody tells you how to do your job - we're all here to support each other.

At Mayden, you can be truly creative with both the way you approach your work, and with how you approach your career development. As a member of the team here, you have the freedom to carve your own path and the ability to design your own training programme to suit this.

We offer a phenomenal working environment, exciting opportunities to learn new skills and an excellent package of benefits including private health insurance and pension.

UX Designer - The Role:

Your time will be spent liaising with our users and stakeholders, gathering and managing feedback and identifying any pain points, exploring user journeys, researching and validating ideas, whiteboarding, wireframing and designing pixel perfect software interfaces.

You'll work closely with our team of product owners who use the Scrum framework to manage development work and ensure that they are regularly delivering value to our customers. As a team, we will ensure that wireframes are ready for use when development stories go into sprint.

UX Designer - You:

- Have a varied portfolio demonstrating a variety of UX and UI skills

- Be comfortable working on one big project for a long period of time

- Be a confident communicator and enjoy liaising with both technical and non-technical colleagues and end users

- Take a collaborative approach

- Care about the work that we do

- Be passionate about good design

- Be a positive and proactive problem solver

- Be curious and keen to learn

- Be comfortable using Adobe XD or other wireframing tools, Adobe Illustrator, and Photoshop

What's really important to us is that you are thoughtful, enthusiastic, adept at active listening and creative problem solving - and that you will be a strong advocate for our users.

UX Designer - Benefits:

- Professional development budget

- Private health insurance

- Pension

- Free on-site gym

- Free parking

- 33 days of annual leave including bank holidays

This is a full-time permanent opportunity but part-time will be considered depending upon the number of hours.

This opportunity is based in Bath. We have been working remotely, in line with Government guidance around Covid-19, and are now starting to transition back to working in our lovely offices in Oldfield Park, whilst ensuring we do so safely.

You must be eligible to live and work in the UK.
