Our Devizes based client is looking for a hard working individual who is able to work within a team to support the running of the kitchen.
Joining a team made up of dedicated, hard working, friendly individuals, the successful candidate should mirror these qualities in order to achieve the companies objectives.
The ideal candidate would be available to work between 30 and 40hours per week on a flexible working pattern.
Kitchen Porter Salary GBP9.00 - GBP9.50 Per hour
Objective: To support the smooth running of the kitchen, food preparation and service through washing up cleaning and clearing all kitchen areas and basic food preparation with the aim of retaining and attracting new customers.
Report to: Kitchen Manager/Shift Manager
KITCHEN PORTER
Main responsibilities
*Washing up, ensuring that all pots, pans, equipment, crockery and cutlery are thoroughly washed and sanitized in a timely manner, ensuring all equipment is clean and put away correctly
*Keep the pot wash area clear, sanitized and tidy
*Assist in cleaning, clearing and sanitizing all kitchen areas and equipment
*Assist in preparing the waiting station for service, including preparing cutlery
*Unloading and putting away deliveries
*Emptying bins, sweeping and mopping floors, and removing rubbish to bin store
*Assist in keeping bin store area clean and tidy
*Assist in keeping front of house clean and tidy
*Deep cleaning fridges and store rooms to maintain sanitary and kitchen safety standards
*Basic food preparation
*Maintain personal knowledge by completing training and workbooks
*Always adhere to all company policies and procedures, licensing and food safety laws/regulations
*Work safely at all times, following all health & safety policies and procedures, and report identified hazards to manager/supervisor
*Undertake training as required
*Be involved and contribute at team meetings
*Carry out instructions given by the management/supervisory team
*Always adhere to all company policies and procedures
*Any other reasonable duties.
