Excellent salary & benefits package
Doosan Babcock is a market-leading provider of products and services to the energy, industrial and petrochemical sectors. Our success is built on the quality of our people, our reputation for technological expertise and best-in-class execution, and the collaborative relationships we establish with our customers. We believe that this approach delivers value for our clients and creates exciting opportunities for our people.
We are currently looking for an experienced Planner who will support our Nuclear planning service covering various nuclear projects and producing accurate cost and resource plans which will fit the project budget. Reporting to the Project Controls Manager, this role can be based in our Gateshead office and may involve travel to various sites throughout the UK.
This role will work with a portfolio of projects and will require multiple interfaces that will be managed across the different work packages. The Planner will be part of the design Phase and coordination of construction activities at site. You will also support the delivery team updating the plan to reflect change and monitoring/reporting progress. You will report on EVA (CPI and SPI) and identify the impact of any delays.
You will have relevant experience within nuclear engineering/construction projects and NEC3 contracts and be able to demonstrate relevant experience in resource planning, cost estimates and planning (including Primavera P6). A working knowledge of Microsoft project and project management techniques would be beneficial and you will also be able to demonstrate a thorough understanding of the full construction lifecycle from engineering and procurement through to installation, commissioning and ideally also with a knowledge of decommissioning.
This role is offered on a permanent basis with lots of benefits on offer including a half day on a Friday!
