Could you lead on ensuring the British Red Cross is getting maximum value out of one of its key technologies? We're making increasing use of WordPress as an organisation and we're looking for a talented Platform Manager to help us extract the most value from it. What you will be doing You will own our use of WordPress as a strategic platform within our Digital Estate. Working closely with internal stakeholders - particularly within our International team - the wider Digital Design and Technology directorate, and external suppliers, you will ensure our WordPress platform and sites are maintained and enhanced in line with the needs of the British Red Cross and its users. You will be working in a fast-paced and constantly evolving environment. In any given week you may be liaising with stakeholders to define and scope requirements, working with suppliers and in-house developers to deliver platform iterations, managing the swift resolution of the occasional incident within agreed SLAs, making configuration changes yourself???or all of the above! This role might be for you if you have??? - Proven experience of managing a strategic digital platform within an organisation, working effectively within a multidisciplinary team - Detailed knowledge and experience of WordPress as a platform and an understanding of HTML, CSS, PHP, jQuery and javascript - Knowledge of the product development lifecycle and Agile and Waterfall delivery methodologies - Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and are passionate about building collaborative partnerships and working relationships Meet the team The Digital Design and Technology directorate (DDaT) are responsible for developing and delivering information and digital services that enable our staff and volunteers to support people in crisis across the UK and internationally.
