My client, a reputable accounting firm is looking for an Assistant Manager to join one of the fastest growing teams in the North West.

As Assistant Manager, you'll have an important role to play.
A little bit more about the role
-You will review complex annual financial statements ensuring compliance with all current reporting standards
-You will identify potential problems/areas of risk and use initiative to proactively propose solutions
-Lead on-site audits, implementing agreed plan, through to completion, coordinating on-site resources, allocating people to tasks and timescales for completion
-Using your judgement and experience to deal with obstacles, and high-pressure situations
-Develop a good relationship and understanding of clients in order to adapt approach and communication to ensure client satisfaction
-Communicate on technical, non-technical and commercial issues with clarity, emphasising relevant messages with logical persuasion
-Proactively seek to expand own knowledge of other teams and how work overlaps; identifying potential areas of conflict and opportunities and taking actions to maximise cross-team working
-Communicate with other departments, working with the same client, to ensure overall service to client is of a high quality
-Leads by example, acting as a role model and adapting leadership style to suit the individual and situation
-Support and develop Audit Juniors and Seniors by showing how to do tasks, varying these tasks to enhance learning opportunities and giving regular constructive feedback
About the Individual
-Knowledge of Accounting and Auditing
-The ability to take responsibility for resolving issues and proposing solutions
-Be able to effectively communicate
-To work in co-operation with others to achieve the required objective
-The ability to multi-task whilst maintaining quality of delivery
-Be able to see and understand the requirements for effective client relations, how these relate to individual roles, teams, departments and the overall objectives of the Group
-To work effectively, monitoring and checking the accuracy of work and developing others to solve problems
-You will want to be a part of what and who they are. As an independent firm they look to their people to challenge them and help them to grow but most importantly they want colleagues to enjoy coming to work, to feel challenged and to be part of their ongoing success
Qualifications and experience
-ACCA or ACA Qualified
-Driver's license and own vehicle
-1-2 years' post qualification working in a similar environment (eg regional accountancy firm)
-Experience of overseeing, training and developing audit juniors and seniors on site and in the office on assigned clients
-Experience of working with groups of companies/companies within the property and construction sector
-Experience of working within a multi-disciplinary team
