Class People are working alongside fantastic Nursery based in Plymouth we are looking to recruit a Nursery Manager.

The Nursery Manager is responsible for ensuring that the nursery provides high standards of childcare and education, and a safe, caring environment that will enable the emotional, social and educational development of children. The postholder is responsible for ensuring that the nursery is financially viable while offering early year's provision that is responsive to customer demands.

To oversee the running of the Nursery; providing line management to the Deputy Manager, and to lead, motivate and monitor all practitioners to ensure the safety, wellbeing and development of all children.
To lead the effective delivery of all aspects of the Early Years Foundation Stage framework, OFSTED and Welfare Requirements and Statutory Frameworks.
To take the lead in developing and maintaining a safe, creative and stimulating play and educational environment for children attending the Nursery. Which, includes indoor and outdoor activities in accordance with Ofsted and Local Authority guidelines.
To plan and implement recruitment strategies resulting in viable children numbers and deployment of staff to meet Ofsted staff-to-children ratios, while maximising fee income and remaining competitive. To provide a supported and smooth settling in/transition period for children as required
To lead on developing quality assurance procedures to ensure consistently high levels of staff performance and an atmosphere conducive to the development of children
?? Undertaking fundraising activities.
?? To promote equality and diversity policy and practice within the Nursery to encompass the values of a wider community, particularly fostering and developing anti-racist and anti-sexist approaches and encouraging the use of the service by children and carers with disabilities.
?? To keep abreast of changes to early years/foundation education and other areas impacting on childcare provision.
?? To undertake such other duties commensurate with the grade of the post as may reasonably be required and you may be required to be trained to administer First Aid, if necessary.
