Great opportunity for an experienced Transport Coordinator or Transport Administrator to join a leading business based in Langley, Berkshire.

This is a permanent role and the hours are Monday to Friday 8.30am - 5pm - Salary is paying GBP24,000.

Working with the Operations and Depot Manager the Transport Administrator is responsible for the administration of transport & operations for the Langley site. You will be responsible for delivering excellent customer service, working closely with the Transport Co-Ordinator and Operations Manager. You will act professionally at all times and in accordance with the company's core values. Leading by example you will be responsible for ensuring all activities are managed within the health and safety requirement and that the transport performance meets the business targets. You will be expected to implement and develop transport processes to ensure that transport runs efficiently and effectively with a view to continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities of the Transport/Operations Administrator:

* Promote and ensure compliance with company policies & procedures

* Ensuring our transport fleet operates legally with all MOT's, smoke emission tests and servicing undertaken as and when required

* Assist transport co-ordinator to ensure drivers meet all working time directive requirements and download the digi cards on a weekly basis

* Understand and manage the CPC training requirements

* To monitor driver infringements through FTA reports, parking fines and driver penalties and discuss actions with drivers

* To organise drivers for holiday absence when required using agencies

* Assist transport co-ordinator to follow company procedures in relation to reporting incidents and accidents

* To support the transport co-ordinator in organising the daily routing, ensuring best utilisation of the vehicles, cost effective planning of delivery routes and excellent customer service (absence cover)

* Arranging fuel, ad-blue, calor gas & skip deliveries

* Organising goods inwards deliveries including stock label printing & booking onto the system.

* To deal with customer returns & credits

* Assist the warehouse manager with organising forklift issues with the leasing company

* Design, implement and develop initiatives and systems to ensure best practice

* Implement and develop initiatives to effectively reduce costings and maintain them
