We're looking for a candidate to fill this position in an exciting company.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Ensuring that there is an appropriate culture in place, in line with the requirements of the Aviva Group Board and Executive Committee, as well as industry regulations etc.
- Supporting the operational efficiency of the Group's ORCM Framework, including all risk policies - i.e. reporting, escalation and governance processes (including all legal and regulatory requirements)
- Maintaining appropriate records, ensuring that controls are well crafted and operating effectively, to keep the risks that they mitigate, within Aviva's tolerance level
- Act as the Chair of the Outsource Committee, supporting regulatory engagement in relation to outsourced / external supplier arrangements
- Actively managing all supplier risk, to ensure it stays within Aviva tolerance levels
- Share information on the Aviva risk frameworks to outsourced organisations and support the embedding of these frameworks.
- Ensure that individuals from outsourced organisations are fully aware of their responsibilities regarding the prevention of financial crime, data protection and other key processes through effective training delivery
- Support the Head of CO with managing outsourced relationships, including putting an effective governance regime in place across all outsourced providers to assist operational working arrangements and effective risk and controls management
Skills & Experience required
- A background in outsourcing and procurement within the financial services or insurance industry
- A detailed understanding of relevant legislative and regulatory compliance requirements in the insurance industry, including experience within the risk and control environment
- Knowledge of working within a risk and control management framework and all related methodologies / managing & mitigating risk
- Excellent stakeholder management and business partnering / strategic influencing skills
- Expertise in regulation, governance, and risk management reporting
- Strong decision-making skills, with the ability to consider both short and long-term impact(s)
- Collaborative nature, with the ability to drive key strategic outcomes across various business units
- Results driven mindset (regarding both strategic & operational plans)
- Excellent team management and development skills, exercising a positive & proactive approach, encouraging others to achieve same
- Ideally degree educated / MBA is desired but not essential
