We are seeking Functional Skills Tutor/Learning Coach

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a forward-thinking training provider, who value and appreciate staff, offering excellent prospects

The purpose of the role is to deliver Functional Skills - English and Mathematics level 2 for the Adult Immigration and Custodial Prison Officers contacts in training centres to groups of learners. 4 days per week in the centre and 1 day per week from home

DUTIES

* To Deliver English, Maths level 2

* To work with a caseloads of learners

* To understand and agree with employers, learners and each learners starting point and skills development needs

* Using the companies English and Maths delivery process, to agree a training plan with each learner

* Dealing with learners face to face in the centre in groups, also remotely

* Review progress

* Carry out regular caseload reviews

* Using e-portfolio system

* Ensure evidence for learning, achievement, funding and Ofsted is captured

* Working closely with IQA's on best practice, development needs, providing sampling

ESSENTIAL FOR THE ROLE

Level 3 in English and/or Maths or equivalent, or a willingness to work towards Level 5 teaching qualification

In-depth knowledge of specifications for Functional Skills and worked as a Functional Skills Tutor

Experience of coaching to support learning
