This role will be based at our headquarters in Marlow, Buckinghamshire.

Your skills and experience

The Principal Signal Processing and Algorithm Engineer will help drive the introduction of new products and assist in developing a range of novel processing techniques in support of anti-jamming, direction finding, beam-forming and electronic warfare applications. The role will involve a range of research, data analysis and market-driven product development activities.

As a Principal Signal Processing and Algorithm Engineer your skills and qualifications will ideally include:

* Desired education and experience includes a Bachelor's or Master's Degree in an applicable mathematical, science or engineering discipline.

* Coding capability in MATLAB or similar modelling environments.

* System modelling and analysis with emphasis on mathematical algorithm development.

* Digital architecture design of complex DSP algorithms.

* Use of Simulink or similar modelling tools.

* Able to present ideas to both customers and internal teams.

* Able to conduct low-level, speculative research or follow structured development processes as required.

Aspects that would be an advantage:

* Understanding of adaptive processing techniques and antenna arrays.

* Experience with embedded programming on generic as well as DSP processors.

* Familiarity with software development languages such as C, C++ and Python.

As a Principal Signal Processing and Algorithm Engineer, your key responsibilities will include:

* Development of novel algorithms.

* Development of high-level architectures of DSP algorithms for implementation in firmware and software.

* Modelling signal data flow through a system's embedded processing algorithms.

* Analysis of signal data, test results and simulation results.

* Generate product technical proposals.

* Support bid and project planning.

* Documentation to the appropriate level in accordance with internal processes.
