Allstaff Recruitment are currently seeking an HR Manager based in Bedford for a local school.
Summary of the HR Manager role???
Salary: GBP35,000 per annum
Location: Bedford
Type of Contract: Permanent, Full-time.
Hours: Monday - Thursday 8:30am - 5:00pm, Friday 8:30am - 4:30pm.
The role???
As the HR Manager your role will involve the following important duties:
* Deliver day to day operational and administrative HR and act as the first point of contact for all queries relating to employment or payroll.
* Manage the recruitment and onboarding processes for all staff and volunteers.
* Provide confidential and pragmatic advice, guidance and support on all matters pertaining to employment to line managers based on a practical and up-to-date understanding of employment and case law, best practice and policies.
* Review procedures and practices and implement initiatives to continuously improve efficiency, effectiveness and standards of performance and behaviour.
* Monitor absence and provide advice and support, liaising with managers and the school's external Occupational Health provider as necessary.
* Ensure that HR systems and records are accurately maintained and produce HRMI statistics and reports as required.
The experience required???
As a successful HR Manager, you will have the following:
* CIPD Level 7 or level 5 working towards level 7.
* Significant HR generalist experience including providing HR advice and support to managers.
* Comprehensive knowledge of current employment law and best practices.
* Outstanding organisation and administrative skills, with the ability to remain calm under pressure and work to tight deadlines, managing competing priorities.
* The ability to analyse and present data.
* Strong IT skills, particularly MS Office Word, Excel, and Outlook and HR systems.
* Resilient in coping with complex and sensitive issues.
