Corby based retail client is looking to recruit a competent 3rd line technical engineer to help in the support and maintenance of their IT systems, which sit within Wintel and MAC environments.
The role will include
* support of Tills and Payment systems, EPOS
* system infrastructure support (networks, telephones, cloud)
* creation & maintenance of PCI-DSS policies and procedures
* creation & maintenance of GDPR policies and procedures
* maintenance of training manuals
* hardware & software repair and maintenance
* equipment management, stock control & repair
* Server installation, Patch Management
* User support, emails, internet access
* Keep anti-virus & security features up-to-date
* Ensure licensing laws are adhered to
* Maintain Exchange services
* Mentoring 1st/2nd line engineers
* Some supervision of 1st/2nd line engineers
The role will require a minimum of 2 years of experience as an IT support Engineer, solid VMWare experience, Office 365 & MS Azure.
Problem solving, crisis management, planning & organisational skills are essential.
Excellent verbal & written communication along with the ability to work at pace in a changing, complex environment is also a pre-requisite.
The role may require out of hours support for critical updates, project completion and crisis management. There may also be a need to travel to other company sites
