This independent organisation based in Camberley is seeking a forward-thinking individual who can think on their feet as well as multi-task and prioritise their own workload. The ideal candidate will have proven procurement experience ideally gained from within the construction industry. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing multiple projects up to the value of GBP5 million.
This role will be working within a small and friendly team, who work hard and have strong working ethics. It is a relaxed environment and everyone has a 'hands-on approach'. The ideal candidate will be bright, bubbly and personable.
The working hours for this position will ideally be Monday to Thursday 7.30/8.00am-4.30/5.00pm Friday 7.30am until 1pm.
Project related requirements
* Monitoring project folders (once purchase order is placed)
* Negotiating prices and placing orders for materials and plant hire for projects
* Organising site labour for projects
* Organising travel/accommodation arrangements for labour
* Liaising with the client to plan and execute each project on site
* Producing site specific method statements and risk assessments
* Secure handover of site notes and information to then produce reports with annotated drawings
* Preparation of operating and maintenance manuals
Admin related requirements
* Answering the telephone
* Create tender folders with supporting docs
* Managing and updating the tender register
* Archiving project files once project complete
* Monitoring and updating the monthly planner board
* Completing new supplier questionnaires
* Managing labour qualification certificates
* Booking training courses
* Assisting team leaders with day to day tasks
* Prepare project reports
* Any ad hoc administrative support as directed by maintenance manager
Technical requirements
* Computer literate to a good standard using Word and Excel, PowerPoint is desirable
* Previous procurement experience ideally from within the Construction industry
* Use to working with software packages
* Good communication and telephone manner
* Be proactive, organised, and a team player
* Have good attention to detail
* Confident and flexible approach is essential
