Job description

Responsibilities of the Job:

• Manage and oversee the daily operations of the accounting department including: month and end-year process; accounts payable/receivable, cash receipts and general ledger; payroll and utilities; treasury, budgeting, cash forecasting; revenue and expenditure variance analysis; capital assets reconciliations; fixed asset activity; debt activity.
• Monitor and analyse accounting data and produce financial reports or statements
• Establish and enforce proper accounting methods, policies, and principles
• Coordinate and complete annual audits
• Provide recommendations
• Improve systems and procedures and initiate corrective actions
• Assign projects and direct staff to ensure compliance and accuracy
• Meet financial accounting objectives
• Establish and maintain fiscal files and records to document transactions

Skills required for the Job:
Crucial Skills requiring Excellent level of:

• Integrity, attention to detail and accuracy,
• knowledge of accounting principles, practices, standards, laws and regulations,
• problem-solver and analytical, able to work with large data sets,
• IT (Accounting Software [Sage 50] and Excel as well as whole MS Office Suite)
• numerical abilities.

Required Qualifications and Training

• BS degree in Accounting, Finance, Mathematics, and or Business are preferred.
• Professional qualification in Finance and or Accounting preferred.
• Proven experience as Accounting Manager, Accounting Supervisor or Finance Manager

??Job Remuneration

• Negotiable based on qualifications/experience
• Annual Profit Share Bonus Scheme (After 2years Service)
• Workplace Pension after 3 months
• Probation Period of 6 months
• 20 Days Annual Leave on top of bank holidays and office closed between Christmas and New Year
• Flexi-work possible (after Probation) but 2 to 3 days a week minimum required at the Head Office
