Job description
Responsibilities of the Job:
- Manage and oversee the daily operations of the accounting department including: month and end-year process; accounts payable/receivable, cash receipts and general ledger; payroll and utilities; treasury, budgeting, cash forecasting; revenue and expenditure variance analysis; capital assets reconciliations; fixed asset activity; debt activity.
- Monitor and analyse accounting data and produce financial reports or statements
- Establish and enforce proper accounting methods, policies, and principles
- Coordinate and complete annual audits
- Provide recommendations
- Improve systems and procedures and initiate corrective actions
- Assign projects and direct staff to ensure compliance and accuracy
- Meet financial accounting objectives
- Establish and maintain fiscal files and records to document transactions
Skills required for the Job:
Crucial Skills requiring Excellent level of:
- Integrity, attention to detail and accuracy,
- knowledge of accounting principles, practices, standards, laws and regulations,
- problem-solver and analytical, able to work with large data sets,
- IT (Accounting Software [Sage 50] and Excel as well as whole MS Office Suite)
- numerical abilities.

Required Qualifications and Training
- BS degree in Accounting, Finance, Mathematics, and or Business are preferred.
- Professional qualification in Finance and or Accounting preferred.
- Proven experience as Accounting Manager, Accounting Supervisor or Finance Manager
??Job Remuneration
- Negotiable based on qualifications/experience
- Annual Profit Share Bonus Scheme (After 2years Service)
- Workplace Pension after 3 months
- Probation Period of 6 months
- 20 Days Annual Leave on top of bank holidays and office closed between Christmas and New Year
- Flexi-work possible (after Probation) but 2 to 3 days a week minimum required at the Head Office
