We are South West Galvanizers, part of the Wedge Group, leaders in galvanizing solutions. Our group has almost 150 years of experience and is the UK’s largest hot dip galvanizing operation.
 
Due to further expansion, we are now seeking a number of Forklift Truck Drivers / Production Operatives in Crediton.

The Role
 
As a Forklift Truck Driver / Production Operative, you will be tasked with supporting our Production Team in Crediton.
 
You will ensure all products are loaded safely and are ready to go on time to meet our customers’ delivery expectations.
 
Your duties will include:
 
- Preparing steel for galvanizing including handling work manually or with FLTs
- Overhead crane driving
- Processing and checking orders
- Preparing orders for customers
- Dealing with customers and their requirements
 
About You
 
Although no experience is necessary, as full training will be provided, to join our team as a Forklift Truck Driver / Production Operative, you will need:
 
- An awareness of Health and Safety
- Good customer service skills
- Close attention to detail
 
Other organisations may call this role FLT Driver, Forklift Driver, Loader, Logistics Operative, Yard Operative, Warehouse Operative, or Distribution Operative.
 
These are full-time roles working shift patterns of double days and include the need for overtime and some weekend working.
