Senior/Principal Engineer - Battery Management System Engineer - EV - Warwick - Contract - GBP Competitive rate
A Senior/Principal Engineer Battery Management System Engineer is required to define the EV battery architecture, Cell selection, Battery pack development, Development of BMS software, Component and Vehicle level Validation. Forming part of the core technical team within a small but complete vehicle manufacturer, you will be responsible for development, verification, validation, and commissioning of Battery Management Systems for passenger vehicles.
As Senior/Principal Engineer - Battery Management System - you will be required to
Develop BMS systems architecture
Support the application software, basic software, functional safety, electronic hardware, and quality teams
Software/Hardware integration
Define validation/verification plan and methodologies as well as evaluating test results
Debug and carry out systems test on the HIL rig / SIL
Calibration and commissioning of BMS
Support the systems activities in the development of the BMS
As Senior/Principal Engineer - Battery Management System - you will have
Degree qualified or equivalent with relevant experience in automotive BMS development experience (ideally Systems Engineering), previous experience in leading BMS systems development activities
Experience of leading BMS commissioning and calibration
Experience in systems engineering and system delivery
Experience of automotive control systems and calibration
Experience in systems engineering and Automotive functional safety knowledge (ISO 26262)
Knowledge of HV li-ion Batteries Knowledge of electric vehicle architectures and components
