If successful, the role willcommence after the autumn half term and would be a long-term sick position to cover a well-loved Teaching Assistant.

Salary is dependent on experience, training, or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are GCSE English and Maths (A*-C or 9 -4) as a minimum. You must have relevant experience in an educational setting. A qualification such as Level 2 teaching assistant would be preferred but not essential.

The role
The successful Teaching Assistant will work to support children in their education and pastorally. You should be a proactive individual, capable of building good relationships with children and staff. Working in Key Stage (KS1) as part of the primary team, the role will include classroom management in one-one and group situations, they must have a good understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage and Key Stage 1 Curriculum and be able to work well with the class teacher and Key Stage 1 Team.

Requirements
To be considered for the Teaching Assistant position, you will need as a minimum:

GCSE English and Maths (A*-C or 9 -4)
Level 2 or 3 Certificate in Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools. (Preferable but not essential)
Can provide observation, assessment and be able to feedback to Class Teacher.
Be able to adapt to different routines daily.
Have experience of the national curriculum, phonics, and an educational setting.
Be flexible and creative when supporting teaching.
Be able to work between the hours of 8:30 until 12:00 Mon-Fri.
