Are you a sports coach looking for long term work within schools? Do you have experience working with 5-11-year-olds with additional learning requirements and Challenging Behaviour?
Look no further- we have the ideal role for you!
GSL Education are looking to appoint an enthusiastic, flexible and dedicated individual to join a vibrant primary school and it's hardworking and friendly team, starting September 2021. This post will include working alongside teachers to deliver the PE curriculum, organisation of both internal and inter-school sports as well as some work in the classroom for small groups and individuals.
The successful candidate will need to be:
Dedicated to providing high quality education through sports.
Providing 1:1 behaviour interventions for pupils who have challenging behaviour and SEMH
Supporting the Class Teacher and HLTAs with daily tasks and planning.
Taking small groups of children out of the classroom to use sports as a learning method
Encourage learning and concertation in lessons
Leading sports classes indoors and outdoors
Be passionate about sport and working with children, families and the local community
Dedicated in promoting the wellbeing of all individuals
Able to develop excellent, positive relationships with parents/carers
Able to contribute to wider school effectivenessPerson specifications:
Experienced in coaching/working with children or young people with additional needs
Experienced working with Challenging Behaviour, Autism and SEMH.
Relevant qualifications, qualifications in multiple sports will be an advantage
DBS certificate- registered to the update service
