Domestic Abuse Service Manager
Ashberry Recruitment are currently looking for a Domestic Abuse Service Manager in Bury.

* The Service Manager will co-ordinate and deliver a range of domestic abuse support services, including safe accommodation and support services and associated community-based services.
* You will be responsible for leading, managing, developing, monitoring and reviewing the operational running of high-quality frontline services to victims and survivors of domestic abuse.
How this role will deliver success
* To deliver success, you will work as a member of our Senior Leadership Team (SLT) to support our clients vision, objectives/goals, and support our frontline teams to deliver high quality domestic abuse support services to families who have experienced and/or are living with domestic abuse.
* Contribute to building and strengthening a supportive and psychologically informed environment in our services, and on a personal level build supportive relationships with victims and survivors of domestic abuse to provide a pro-active service to keep them and their children safe.
* Directly managing members of the service team staff including delivering regular 1:1 support; work check in sessions, my time development sessions, organising and leading team meetings to effectively support of staff and organisation of work tasks and facilitating best quality support services to victims and survivors.
* Ensure we are utilising our accommodation resources efficiently and effectively to help the most victims and survivors as possible by ensuring voids are kept to a minimum and occupancy is optimised.
* Using excellent communication skills, ensure effective short (daily) and long term management of work priorities, setting and reviewing work priorities with the team.
* Work alongside the Area Operational Lead to create and contribute to quarterly reports for both internal and external agency requirements.
* Build and strengthen partnerships with statutory and voluntary agencies, including ensuring clear pathways into and on exiting service to ensure victims and survivors feel safe.
* Work with and contribute to wider safeguarding networks ensuring support is in place for the whole family including children and young people.
* Manage team rotas to ensure adequate cover in times of staff leave and absence.
* Carry out other relevant tasks at the request of Senior SafeNet Managers, to contribute effectively to the smooth running of SafeNet and its projects both individually and as part of a team in accordance with SafeNet/Calico policies, procedures, and guidelines.
What you need to be successful in this role
* Excellent communication skills, both written, verbal and via latest tech including on-line/digital platforms i.e. virtual team / external meetings where required
* Experience of working on your own initiative using excellent time management and organisational skills as well as within a multi-disciplinary team environment.
* Ensure we provide trauma/psychologically informed environments to support victims and survivors.
* Experience of delivering results in a management role and or be able to demonstrate transferable skills and experience.
* Experience of leading, developing and managing an effective team with a supportive wellbeing focus.
* Ability to work pro-actively and collaboratively with representatives of partner agencies and ensure fully supportive package for victims and survivors to improve pathways into and out of our clients services, reducing barriers.
* A clear understanding of performance monitoring and ability to write reports for a range of audiences.
* Current knowledge of local and national DA and VAWG policies and legislation
* Knowledge and understanding of domestic abuse and/or aligned values and willingness to learn.
* Knowledge of Health & Safety
* Confidence in using computer packages i.e., word documents, emails, spreadsheets, and in-house case management systems.
