We're really excited to be recruiting an Assistant Accountant on behalf of a leading business based in the Mansfield area.
This is a great time to join the business as they go through a huge period of growth! Our client is looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic individual to join their team on a full time, permanent basis to provide extensive support across both management and financial accounting duties!
In return, the successful candidate will be provided with full study support, a bespoke progression plan and the opportunity to work within a fun and friendly environment where hard work is constantly rewarded!
Duties of the Assistant Accountant will include:
*Working within a team of Assistant Accountants and reporting into an accounting supervisor, as part of the wider UK management accounts teams
*Focussing on and taking ownership of specific balance sheet categories
*Ensuring completion of month-end processes within deadline
*Preparing and posting related releases into multiple companies
*Analysing/posting prepayments and accruals with the result of reconciling the balance sheet
*Identifying and preparing numerous recharges across the group
*Preparation of subsidiary VAT returns
*Working on new acquisitions and integrations
*Processing accounting entries for all of our UK subsidiaries
*Ad-hoc project analysis and reporting
*Support other colleagues both within the team and wider finance function as required
Person specification:
*1/2 years' experience in a related role within a finance function
*Working towards/ambitions of completing one of ACCA/CIMA (study support provided)
*Able to throw yourself in at the deep end and thrive in a fast paced, commercial environment
*Hard working and willingness to learn is essential
*Collaborative approach to work, always take the team with you and able to build relationships with colleagues at all levels of an organisation
