Title: German speaking Credit Controller

Salary: GBP15 - GBP18per hour

Duration: 3 months + with the possibility of extension

Location: Hertfordshire, 100% Office Based

Our client are specialists in assisting a wide range of businesses to improve their cash flow. Experts in debt recovery, sales ledger management and litigation, the teamwork with client partners to simplify their credit management challenges and improve the value of their receivables.

Job Role

The role of the credit controller is to undertake all aspects of credit control and debt recovery for the firm and the varied client base.

Description

  • Prepare monthly collections processes within prescribed guidelines. Collection of outstanding balances by telephone and email. (Chasing outstanding debt make up 70% of this role)
  • Assessing and implementing appropriate collection methods using discretion and judgment, referring to senior colleagues and partners whenever necessary.
  • This aspect of the role will involve frequent telephone and email contact with clients and customers, specifically in German speaking countries but will also include other countries, globally.
  • Producing and delivering client statements and other supporting documents as required.
  • Maintaining accurate records of collection activities in the firm's debt management systems. Undertaking any other duties as required by the line manager/and or head of department.
  • Allocating bank payments to customer's accounts

Skills and Experience Required:

  • Native German speaker
  • Fluent in English
  • Experience of working in a Credit Control position in a professional practice or advisory business is preferable
  • Possess strong influencing skills developed within a client facing role.
  • Good use of Excel and competent with basic IT functionality
  • Able to maintain focus and pace without close supervision and adapt to working in both the fee earning environment and very closely with other credit controllers and finance staff.
  • Possess accurate and versatile communication and writing skills
