Proficiency Test Coordinator

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a candidate experienced in proficiency testing to join our team at Alecto Forensics.

Full-time and part-time applications will be considered for this role.

Role Responsibilities

Setting up mock scenes for proficiency testing, ensuring that they meet with the relevant Proficiency Test Plan for the assessment to be undertaken.
Carry out checks of the mock scenes and test exhibits to ensure that they are prepared correctly.
Conduct assessment of Crime Scene Investigators within the mock scenes.
Complete assessment reports on the Proficiency Test undertaken in a timely manner.
Prepare and circulate anonymous inter-force comparison reports.
Use of knowledge and experience to contribute towards the Company achieving UKAS 17043 and participate in any validation exercises.
Assist in developing new proficiency tests.
Skills & Experience

Qualifications in crime scene investigation (Level 1 and Level 2) and crime scene management or experience within a relevant forensic field.
Understanding of a relevant forensic science discipline and experience with a forensic service provider.
Knowledge of Forensic Regulator's guidance, UKAS ISO 17020 and ILAC G19 procedures.
Flexible approach to work with regards to hours and location, as well as the ability to work abroad if required.
Demonstrate excellent communications skills.
Good understanding of forensic practice within the criminal justice system.
The ability to work on own initiative as well as part of a team.
Have a flexible and innovative approach to teaching and learning.
5 years+ experience in crime scene work or a related discipline Teaching qualification.
Ability to write detailed reports in a timely manner.
