Eden Brown Futures is looking for an experienced Independent Domestic Violence Advocate (IDVA) to join a fantastic charity on a 3 months contract.
This role is home based and my client is looking for an immediate start. The role is working Monday to Thursday, 9am - 5pm.
As an IDVA you will provide a high quality, frontline service to victims of domestic violence and abuse through ongoing risk assessment, individual safety planning, advocacy, emotional and practical support.
Duties:
Working closely with high-risk victims of domestic violence in order to provide a high-quality independent advocacy and support service
Managing a caseload
Assessing referrals, signposting to additional services and supporting client
Understand legal framework relating to the protection of children and vulnerable adults
Providing advocacy, emotional and practical support and information to victims which include legal and civil options, housing, health and finance.
Essential Requirements:
Extensive experience of supporting and advocating on behalf of Domestic Violence victims
Ability to crisis manage and work well under pressure
Enhanced DBS within the last 12 months
