Sphere Solutions are looking to recruit an Architectural/Design Technician to work with a quality focused housing developer. Priding themselves on delivering bespoke designed homes, this is a rare opportunity to join a customer focused design team. Working collaboratively with the Design team you will take ownership of the design from feasibility through to planning. We are keen to speak to talented individuals that are both driven and professional
Suitable candidates MUST have knowledge of building regulations and must be able to obtain & plan building regulations
The Role:
* Producing detailed designs / layouts of new housing types using CAD
* Review company house types
* Liaising with sales/ build teams about the feasibility of potential projects
* Working closely with both internal and external consultants / professionals
* Applying for planning permission, applications, presenting, project specifications
* Site visits, liaising with site teams
* Design / Contracts administrative and reporting
* Work Autonomously but give regular feedback on progress, Weekly and monthly design reviews reporting to the Head of Design
* You will take ownership of the projects and design
The Person:
* Design / planning experience in new build housing
* Technical background preferred, ideally in practice
* Mixture of housing & refurb, keen to look at varied portfolios
* Excellent understanding of planning policy
* Proficient in CAD
* Comprehensive Computer Literacy Skills
* High Levels of Self-Management
On offer is a salary up to GBP35,000 with a car allowance. This is an excellent opportunity to join a creative and forward thinking local developer with a good forward pipeline of sites across the South West
