An excellent opportunity for an ambitous, hard working Accounts assistant with a practice background to join this well respected, boutique Accountancy Practice. This well established firm offer a tailored service to their clients, with services covering accounts, tax and audit.

The Accounts Assistant will be responsible for:

  • Accounts preparation for sole traders, limited companies and partnerships
  • Personal and corporate tax returns
  • VAT returns
  • All aspects of bookkeeping
  • Attending client meetings with Senior Accountants
  • Assisting with audit planning
  • The preparation of financial statements from incomplete records up to review stage
  • Duties split approx 40% accounts / 60% tax

The successful candidate will have the below skills and experience:

  • 2-3 years proven experience in a similar role within accountancy practice
  • Experience in compilation of financial statements to review stage
  • Experience with Sage software
  • Experience of cloud based software (Quickbooks/Xero etc) would be an advantage
  • Experience in preparation of Corporation and personal taxation computations
  • Car owner
  • Confident and professional communication skills
  • A genuine interest in progressing your accounting career
