Coordinator and Mentor - Kickstart Placement
* GBP25,503 per annum
* Full Time, 35 hours per week
* Fixed term contract until 30 June 2022

Mentor / Coordinator

As the Coordinator and Mentor, you will be required to mentor and co-ordinate the training and development of Leonard Cheshire's 32 kickstart staff, including the delivery of meaningful opportunities and ongoing support. The post holder will be responsible for coordinating the placements induction, training provision, peer support, guidance, and advice.
You will also provide mentoring support and oversee onward progression, liaising with external and internal learning and development opportunities and employment programmes. Liaise with 'Prospectus' employment agency who will be providing CV writing, onward job support and soft skills training to all Leonard Cheshire's Kickstart employees.
Coordinator and Mentor Requirements
* An appropriate CIPD qualification would be advantageous.
* QCF Level 4 Advice and Guidance or equivalent.
* Well organised, able to manage workload and to prioritise activities of self and others will be essential.
* Good interpersonal skills, able to communicate effectively with a wide range of people.
* Disability confident with a welcoming and nurturing attitude.
* Prior experience of working with office administration systems and procedures would be advantageous.
* A passion for supporting others to achieve their potential and maximise learning.
* To have creative problem-solving skills.
* To understand and have basic knowledge of social media platforms.
* To have a genuine commitment to the values and ethos of Leonard Cheshire.
* Demonstrable ability with standard Microsoft programs such as Word, Excel and Outlook.
* Good oral and written communication skills.
* Professional telephone manner, able to respond to queries and to initiate contact.
* Able to work using own initiative and as part of a team.
* To be discreet and be able to maintain confidentiality.
* Able to maintain accurate records.
* Ability to communicate in Welsh would be advantageous.
