Engineering Technician 6 month FTC

This is newly created role for our client who has a world class manufacturing site in Worthing. This role is a FIXED TERM CONTRACT for 6 months but COULD convert to permanent after or during this time, you will be hired directly by the client.

They seek an ONC/HNC (level 3/4 National Certificate/NVQ) in electronic engineering or related subject enegineer to join a busy manufacturing team. The duties are varied but include these below:

Understanding of electronic circuits, fault-finding and test equipment

Support to production engineering for new product introduction and current product issues

Assembly and testing of prototype units

Verification (test) activities in support of engineers

Design, build and maintenance of test equipment including configuration of test software and limited development of test programs

Component testing - setup, testing and analysis of results

2D CAD Drawing updates and limited 3D model updates

Documentation of work

Circuit schematic capture and layout for test equipment PCBs using PC software tools

Operation and maintenance of rapid prototyping equipment

Candidates will have worked in a similar role and be confident demonstrating exceptional knowedge of key elements such as understanding circuit diagrams and fault finding as these will be tested at a practical assesment at interview.
