You will be supporting 3 males with varying degrees of complex learning and physical disabilities in their own home. Each individual requires support with personal care, medication administration, general health needs, finances and accessing the community.
Staff are expected to promote independence, dignity and respect when providing support.
Active support is a large part of the role and Staff are expected to encourage, include and support individuals with every day and new tasks or activities. Staff in this service are required to be trained in positive behaviour management, training will be delivered by the employer. Every individual have their own mobility vehicle so a driver is essential in order to support the individuals in to the community. All individuals supported have a range of community activities they enjoy doing and will need support and involvement from you.
Support is required 24/7, shifts vary and will include waking nights and sleep ins.
