Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant
Location: Lincoln
Salary Scale: GBP65 - GBP75 per day
Start Date: Immediately
GSL Education are currently recruiting an SEN Teaching Assistant to work in an Academy in Lincoln to provide a support staff for them. We are seeking someone to provide the best opportunities within a specialised provision, to support independent training, vision and exploring as an SEN Teaching Assistant.
The Academy provides education for a wide range of children with special educational needs and disabilities, with their aim to develop happiness, positivity, and confidence regardless of their physical and mental challenges. It teaches students to respect all faiths, races, and culture where success and progress are also valued properly.
As a successful SEN Teaching Assistant, your responsibilities will be:
To develop and promote the Academy's curriculum and environment that promotes academic, social, and emotional development.
To review each and every student's progress and make decisions where the changes needed.
Take responsibility for the student's professional development by ensuring their active participation in all the educational activities.
As the ideal SEN Teaching Assistant, you should have experience in:
Supporting young people with Autism, Speech, Language and Communication Needs and have experience in using PECs and Makaton.
Experience in managing behavior, outdoor education, Lego Play, Compass Buzz.
Previous experience in a 1:1 support, personal care, or Teaching Assistant position.
