PERMANENT VACANCY - NIGHTS HOME DELIVERY DRIVER WITH CAT B LICENCE
Staffline are currently recruiting on behalf of our client for Home Delivery Relief drivers on a permanent basis.
Hours of work are around an 11pm start, with all deliveries expected to be made by 7am the following morning. 48-hours per week over 6 nights - Sunday to Friday Nights (We are trialling different patterns of work, including a five-day working pattern).
All products are pre-picked ready for delivery, but you will be responsible for loading your vehicle, ensuring that all deliveries and orders are logged on the E-Pod and that all routing systems are adhered to. You will cover different routes each night, supported by their technology.
Your Time at Work
Main Responsibilities:
- You must ensure all deliveries are made by 7am - you will be expected to cover all routes - residential and B2B
- Ensuring that all deliveries and orders are logged on the E-Pod and that all routing systems are adhered to
- Ensuring that any communications with customers are undertaken in a highly professional and competent manner and that service levels are maintained in line with customer service standards
- Working as part of the centre team to ensure all customer orders are fulfilled and correct stock levels maintained
- Ensuring that health and safety and Food Hygiene regulations are always adhered to and that all accidents are reported to in line with the Company procedures, as well as complying with all GDPR requirements in all duties
Challenges
- 6-day working
- Working alone - most of your time at work will be spent working alone, but you will very much be a crucial part of the team
- Learning multiple rounds and delivering to customers before 7am
- Working under pressured and timed conditions
Our Perfect Worker
- You must hold a full driving licence appropriate to the vehicle type (B, C or Class 2) with no more than 6 points on your licence
- It is important that you have a can-do attitude with a desire to consistently exceed customers' expectations
- You must be comfortable with working alone and at night
- You must be able to meet the physical demands of the role
- Experience of keeping accurate records is essential
- Experience of using handheld sets for deliveries (electronic rounds books - ERB) is desirable
