Opportunity for a mechanical maintenance technician to join an established manufacturing company that has been in business for 150+ years. The company is very stable and offers secure employment.
You will work a mixture of days, morning and afternoon shifts (no nights) inclusive of some work on weekends.
The mechanical maintenance technician will be responsible for carrying out maintenance to mechanical equipment across the site with involvement in reactive maintenance, delivery of PPM and project and upgrade work as required. You will also form part of a call-out rota 1 week in 9.
As the mechanical maintenance technician your duties will include:
Investigating and rectifying plant problems of a mechanical nature
Taking apart equipment to locate broken parts and replacing them to complete repairs
Contribute to devising, developing and executing robust planned maintenance and inspection schedules.
Ensure safety standards are maintained and safe working procedures are implemented and adhered to.
Forming part of an on-call rota for out of hours cover 1 week in 9To apply for the mechanical maintenance technician role, you will need:
Experience of working in a manufacturing environment, preferably a continuous 24/7 process-driven manufacturing environment
A time served apprenticeship in a mechanical discipline
Willingness and flexibility to form part of the on-call rota (1 week in 9)In return, the mechanical maintenance technician will receive a salary of GBP38,000 + pension, etc.
